Specialized requirements:

PSW / HCA roles: Formal certificate from a recognized institution and program within your respective province

RN / RPN / LPN roles: Active registration with your provincial nursing college and good standing

Allied health roles: Certification and registration with the appropriate governing body/college in your province, with experience in long-term care preferred

Our recruitment process is tailored to different types of roles. For head office positions, you’ll typically go through several interview stages with our Talent Acquisition team. If you’re applying for roles in our long-term care homes, you might hear directly from an Executive Director or other home leadership team members, followed by additional interviews as needed.
  1. Log in to Workday through Extendicare’s portal here.
  2. Click the menu tab (three horizontal lines in the top-right corner).
  3. Select Job Alerts and then click Create Job Alert.
  4. Fill out your details:
    1.  Job Alert Name
    2. Frequency (daily or weekly)
    3. Your Preferences (Job Category, Location, Job Type, Full/Part-time)
  5. Click Create.

You’ll see your alert is now active, and we’ll send you email updates about jobs that match what you’re looking for.

Need to make changes to your alerts? Here’s how:

  1. Go to your Job Alert page and find your active alert
  2. Click Manage under “Actions.”
  3. Choose Edit to make changes or Delete to remove it completely.
  4. If you’re deleting, confirm by clicking Delete when prompted.
