Job Description
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Specialist supports the development, execution, and optimization of marketing initiatives across Extendicare’s lines of business, including Extendicare (LTC), ParaMed, and SGP Purchasing Network. This position is based at Extendicare Head Office in Markham, Ontario, with a hybrid work model and occasional travel.
The successful candidate will bring critical thinking, attention to detail, and a strong drive to learn while supporting our culture of care across Canada.

Key responsibilities include:
Own Brand Central coordination, name badge shop requests, swag shop orders, and shared marketing inbox management.
Own SGP Purchasing Network marketing execution, including enewsletters, collateral, reporting, trade shows.
Coordinate talent acquisition and redevelopment marketing initiatives, including collateral, event material, and signage.
Execute content updates across ParaMed and SGP Purchasing Network websites.
Analyze website analytics dashboards and performance reports.
Plan, coordinate, and deliver marketing collateral, trade show materials, and event assets.
Coordinate vendors for production of signage, print materials, and promotional assets.
Support internal and external events, conferences, sponsorships, and national initiatives.
Collaborate with Public Affairs, internal business partners, designers, and agencies to ensure consistent, on-brand execution.
What we’re looking for:
Post-secondary education in marketing and/or communications
3–4 years of experience in a marketing communications role.
Experience with website content management, SEO execution, and analytics reporting.
Strong understanding of paid Google and Meta advertising campaigns, including Google Analytics.
Coordinate print and out‑of‑home advertising campaigns, including collaborating with vendors on execution timelines, specifications, and copywriting requirements.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress and email marketing platforms.
Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to manage cross-functional tasks and priorities.
Flexibility to attend events or visit homes.
Access to a vehicle and valid driver’s license.
Written and spoken French proficiency considered an asset.
