Job Description

roviding sustained support and actively participating in quality improvement 
processes and development of quality improvement plans
• Achieving Resident Satisfaction and Employee Engagement targets
• Managing the food service for residents with a focus on their individualized 
nutritional plan of care
• Working with the multidisciplinary team along with residents and families to 
customize personalized menus
• Ensuring food and fluid interventions (as per resident’s plan of care) are prepared 
and served appropriately
• Ensuring menu items provided meet the assessed needs of the residents
• Collaborating closely with dietitians and dietary team members to ensure service 
delivery is consistently compliant with organizational policies, procedures, and all 
applicable legislation and regulatory requirements
• Ensuring the team is following required infection prevention and control and food 
safety guidelines
• ONTARIO ONLY: Completing low and moderate routine resident nutrition 
assessments as delegated by the Registered Dietitian (RD)
• Maintaining operation excellence within defined budget
• Managing vendor and community partnerships related to the delivery of culinary 
services
